Photographing and filming

Journalists with an official press card and accompanying technicians (with T-card) can photograph or film on the public domain in the port area without prior permission.

 

Recording with drones always requires permission, including for journalists.

With a total throughput of 278 million tonnes per year, Port of Antwerp-Bruges is a major hub in global trade and industry. The port is a crucial link for container handling, general cargo, and the throughput of vehicles. Port of Antwerp-Bruges is home to 1,400  firms and houses the largest integrated chemical cluster in Europe. The port employs, directly and indirectly, a total of 164,000 people and generates added value of 21 billion euros.

 

Port of Antwerp-Bruges has a clear ambition: to become the world's first port that reconciles people, climate and the economy. The port not only wishes to progress further its growth process; it also aims to use its unique position as a logistics, maritime and industrial platform in order to take the lead in the transition to a circular and low-carbon economy. Together with the port community, customers and other partners, Port of Antwerp-Bruges is actively seeking innovative solutions for a sustainable future. Responsibility for the environment and, by extension, society, is high on the agenda.

 

The port sites of Antwerp and Zeebrugge are operated by Port of Antwerp-Bruges, a public limited company under public law with the City of Antwerp and the City of Bruges as shareholders. It employs 1,800 people. Johan Klaps is Antwerp Port Alderman and Chair of the Board of Directors, and Bruges Mayor Dirk De fauw is the Vice-Chair of the Board. Jacques Vandermeiren is CEO and Chairman of the Management Committee, which is in charge of day-to-day management.
