Increased rail connections to Spain

From September 2024 onwards, the rail connections from Antwerp and Zeebrugge are being significantly expanded. Services linking Antwerp and Catalonia will be made more frequent and a new rail connection to Spain (Madrid) is being introduced.

More frequent services on the Antwerp-Catalonia Rail Connection with Hupac

From 16 September 2024 onwards, Hupac increased the frequency of services on the existing rail connection between Antwerp and Catalonia. In cooperation with Lineas as a traction partner, services will now run 10 times a week. This scaling-up is a direct result of the noticeably improved service quality on this route.

The rail connection, known as the Antwerp Catalonia Line, departs from the Combinant terminal in Antwerp and serves the terminals in Perpignan (Roussillon) and Barcelona (El Morrot). This service provides a flexible solution for the transportation of containers, trailers and swap bodies. Thanks to the stopover in Perpignan, you will now have even more multimodal methods of transporting your cargo efficiently and reliably to the south of France.
