Together, more than 20 terminals offer a combined total of 9.5 million m³ in independent storage capacity for (hazardous) liquid bulk: 8.9 million m³ in Antwerp and 643,000 m³ in Zeebruges.

Logistical service provision for hazardous goods

Port of Antwerp-Bruges has specialised facilities for the storage of hazardous goods in warehouses and tanks. These storage facilities meet the strictest national and European standards for fire prevention, fire suppression, industrial safety and environmental safety.

 

In addition to storage, specialised logistical service providers for liquid bulk offer a range of logistical services, including packaging, labelling, quality control, stock management, transport and distribution.

A large number of connections via shortsea, inland navigation, road and rail guarantee a first-class connection between the port and the major (petro)chemical centres in Europe. 

 

First-class connectivity with overseas destinations and the European hinterland ensures a stable supply of raw materials and dispatch of finished goods.

Zeebrugge LNG hub

The LNG terminal in Zeebrugge is the gateway for the supply of LNG in North-West Europe. The Fluxys facility is designed for loading and unloading ships carrying LNG (Liquified Natural Gas).

 

The LNG is temporarily stored in buffer tanks, can be regasified and sent into the grid for transport, or is reloaded on board LNG ships.
